Erstmalig erwähnt wird eine Kirche in Troisdorf im Jahr 1066. Im Jahr 1863/64 wurde die Kirche wegen Baufälligkeit abgerissen und ersetzt. In den Jahren 1963 bis 65 wurden Apsis und Turm dieser Kirche ummantelt.
